Having joined the FLAEYC family in 2013, I am thrilled to be a part of this community. My background is diverse, having worked for non-profit member-based organizations for the last 18 years. I chaired the Ramstein Bazaar in Germany and I’ve held leadership positions with Military Spouses’ Clubs throughout the states. In that capacity, I’ve worked with base commanders and civilian directors to coordinate activities that benefited the military community. Prior to that, I was an Adjunct Instructor at Wilmington University teaching computer application courses as well as designing workshops for faculty and graduate students. I’ve worked in IT support as well as trained international dealers in the use of proprietary software.
In my personal life, I am a Florida native, born in Orlando, raised in Miami and residing in Tampa. I attended the University of Miami where I attained my BBA (major was Computer Information Systems although I did begin as a History Major) and my Masters in Computer Resources and Information Technology is from Webster University. I have a 16 year old daughter named Katie and a house full of fur. Our two golden retrievers (Sam and Sadie who are brother and sister) as well as our Maine Coon cat (Ambrose), black “Halloween” cat (Abby), and the baby kitten (Milo) keeps my daughter and I very busy. We moved to Tampa in 2013 after not living here for 20 years from Northern Virginia. During those 20 years, I’ve lived in Germany as well as Ohio, New Mexico, Delaware, Texas to only name a few! I love History and any type of Trivia so given my background, I love watching Jeopardy!
