Personal Statement
Dear Wendy Occhipinti, FLAEYC Executive Director, and Nominating Committee Members,
Thank you for considering my application for At-Large Member of the FLAEYC Board. I have worked in and around the field of Early Childhood in Florida since moving here in 2007 and truly value the opportunity to help support children and families, as well as educators. I have extensive Board experience, including serving as VP and President of the Pinellas Chapter of FLAEYC and for a national membership-based organization, Infant Massage USA. I have presented at the FLAEYC conference in the past, and am excited to present again in 2024. My work in Florida has allowed me to develop relationships with multiple current FLAEYC Board members, so I am confident that I will be able to acclimate and collaborate immediately. I am also comfortable with following Board bylaws and expectations and recently renewed my NAEYC and FLAEYC memberships. Please reach out with any further questions or with next steps in the process.
