The Florida Association for the Education of Young Children (FLAEYC) is proud to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that are accepted under Florida Administrative Code (Chapter 65C-22) by several state agencies including the Florida Office of Early Learning and the Florida Department of Children and Families for credential renewals and fulfilling annual training requirements. 1.0 CEU is equivalent to 10 hours of educational instruction. Participants may earn FLAEYC CEUs through the following opportunities:
- FLAEYC Annual Conference: The total CEUs awarded vary based upon the total number of workshops and sessions attended by the participant during the 3 day event.
- Sponsoring Agency’s Training / Learning Event: Attending and successfully completing training and other learning events offered by a FLAEYC sponsored educational agency of which the agency has partnered with FLAEYC and has been approved for the issuance of CEUs for their event. These approved learning events vary in numerous early care and education topics.
- FLAEYC Chapter Training / Learning Event: Attending and successfully completing training and other learning events offered by one of FLAEYC affiliated Chapters of which the Chapter has requested and been approved for the issuance of CEUs for their event. These approved learning events vary in numerous early care and education topics.
CEUs are FREE for members when the local Chapter affiliate or FLAEYC is sponsoring the learning event. For other educational agency sponsored event and non-members, CEU fees begin at $18. Effective June 1, 2020, FLAEYC will charge $10.00 for any CEU certificate requests that are fulfilled six (6) or more months past the end date of the training. This charge compensates for the additional administrative costs of such requests.
