Personal Statement
I'm Dominique Brunelle and I have been an Early Childhood Educator for 16+ years. My current position as an educator and leader is the result of a lot of hard work and dedication. As a longtime member of FLAEYC and, more recently, as a board member, I've discovered that all the years I spent taking leadership classes and serving as an organization leader prepared me for these current life events. Being a leader can be isolating at times, but when you discover your tribe, you understand that all your hard work has paid off and brought you to a place where you are welcome.
If I'm granted the opportunity to take on the role of Student Representative for FLAEYC once more, I'll continue to use my unique perspective and unconventional thinking to inspire people to adopt new viewpoints. I aim to continue my leadership path with FLAEYC to inspire and create change. I hope to stay true to FLAEYC's vision and work toward speaking up for children, families, and educators who depend on us.
I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for this opportunity again, and I am looking forward to remaining a part of this amazing team and uniting to address the issues facing this profession.
Thank you again!
