We are your local early childhood chapter of the Florida Association for the Education of Young Children (FLAEYC), which is affiliated with both the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA).
Our chapter strives to encourage early childhood professionals in the Lee County area to participate in high quality professional development opportunities, community events, and meetings to bring awareness to the importance of the field of early childhood education in our communities and world.
Our mission is to engage early childhood professionals in meaningful, empowering conversations and professional development opportunities to further their professional goals in early childhood education in the Lee County area.
Children deserve to be cared for in high quality settings with well-trained, aware, professional staff. Staff will receive compensation and respect commensurate with the importance of the work they do with young children. Children will be socially, emotionally, and cognitively ready for life with a love for learning. Parents will have accessible, affordable, and available quality childcare options in their communities.
Passion, support, and integrity guide the Lee County Chapter to provide educational opportunities and to increase public awareness of issues and concerns that effect young children and their families. Our Chapter is dedicated to professionalism among staff and excellence in quality childcare.
